Privacy overview
DealYield is designed to minimize data collection. Public calculators can be used without creating an account. This notice describes the current public experience and the principles that apply as optional MVP services are introduced.
Effective date: July 16, 2026. This is a pre-launch policy draft and must receive appropriate legal review before production launch.
Calculator inputs and share URLs
Deterministic calculator results are computed from the values entered in the browser. Practical scenarios can be copied into a shareable URL.
Those URLs may contain exact financial assumptions in the query string. Anyone who receives the URL may be able to read those values. Do not enter or share confidential information, personal identifiers, full street addresses, account numbers, or other sensitive data in calculator fields or shared links.
Information DealYield may process
Depending on which visibly available features are enabled, DealYield may process:
- Calculator type, formula version, page path, validation state, warning identifiers, and coarse interaction events
- Technical information normally provided with web requests, such as browser type, device category, IP address, and timestamps
- An email address and delivery status when a user explicitly requests an emailed analysis
- Lead context needed to fulfill that request, including source calculator, intent, formula version, request identifier, market/currency/report type, and timestamps
- Messages voluntarily sent to
info@dealyield.app
Analytics must not include exact input or output payloads, raw calculator query strings, email addresses, payment-card data, secrets, or access credentials.
The browser-report scenario remains in the link sent to the user. DealYield does not copy raw calculator inputs or outputs into the MVP lead record. The link is not an access-controlled private record: anyone who receives it can read the scenario values it contains.
Browser storage and analytics
DealYield does not use advertising cookies or sell personal information. Optional PostHog product and web analytics remain off until you select Allow analytics. If allowed, DealYield sends an anonymous session identifier and a limited set of page, calculator-workflow, conversion, device-category, and Web Vitals performance events to PostHog Cloud EU in Frankfurt. PostHog is configured to discard raw client IP addresses.
Calculator values, exact outputs, email addresses, raw query strings, full referrer URLs, heatmaps, automatic element interactions, and session recordings are not sent. DealYield does not identify anonymous PostHog visitors or create analytics person profiles during the MVP.
Your analytics choice and PostHog's anonymous session state use browser local storage rather than an advertising cookie. You can change or withdraw the choice at any time using Analytics choices in the site footer. Withdrawing consent clears the local PostHog identity and prevents further capture on that device.
Vercel hosts the public application, Supabase processes the server-only lead record, Resend processes the destination address and transactional message, Fastmail handles human email sent to and from the public contact address, and Google Search Console provides aggregate search visibility. These providers may process limited technical information needed to operate their services.
How information may be used
Information may be used to:
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the public product
- Measure coarse calculator workflow completion and page usefulness
- Respond to messages, privacy requests, and accessibility reports
- Deliver an analysis when a user explicitly requests that feature
- Comply with applicable obligations and protect the service from abuse
DealYield does not sell personal information and does not use calculator inputs to make lending, insurance, employment, or other eligibility decisions.
Retention and security
Information should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, operational security, or applicable obligations. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Avoid placing sensitive information in calculator fields, URLs, or email messages. Provider-specific retention periods and deletion procedures will be documented before production integrations are enabled.
Your choices and requests
You may decline optional analytics, change that choice through Analytics choices in the footer, avoid optional email features, avoid sharing calculator URLs, and use browser controls to clear local data. Privacy or deletion questions can be sent to info@dealyield.app.
DealYield is intended for adults reviewing real-estate calculations and is not directed to children.

This notice may change as product capabilities and providers are added. A revised effective date will be shown when material changes are published.
